Tour the Searle Biodiesel Lab
Turning waste into fuel in the Searle Biodiesel Lab
Loyola’s School of Environmental Sustainability houses the Searle Biodiesel Lab, a state-of-the-art facility where students convert used cooking oil into renewable fuel and other products. The student-operated biodiesel program aims to achieve zero-waste production while providing experiential learning opportunities. In our newest video, take a tour of the lab to learn how students make soap and fuel from a product that would otherwise go to waste.
